ACE Leadership Academy Phase 3

ACE Leadership Academy is a South Carolina long-term care learning collaborative to strengthen frontline staff retention as the foundation for high performance.

The program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 under the Nursing Home and Long-Term Care Facility Strike Team and Infrastructure Project.

The purpose of this dashboard is to provide progress updates for ACE Leadership Academy Programs implemented during phase 3 of the project (Jan-Dec 2024), which include the following three programs:

  • ACE Leadership “Virtual” Learning Collaborative Target:  NHA, DON, and ADONs
    Frontline Supervisor Support Training Series. Target: nurse managers/supervisors
  • CNA Preceptor Turnover Management Program. Target CNAs, staffing coordinator, facility education

The virtual learning collaborative builds upon phases 1 and 2 of the SC Long-term Care Leadership Academy Pilot where a cohort of nursing homes came together to pilot “a new nursing home business model that strengthens frontline staff retention and high performance in select areas including management practices, compensation, and benefit practices.”

Frontline Supervisor Support Training Series. Target: nurse managers/supervisors

The Frontline Supervisor Support training builds upon the strong clinical skill sets that nursing supervisors have in the workplace. The material centers on the soft skills associated with leadership and communication to enhance the nursing home culture and positively impact frontline staff retention
